  • When specifying plumbing and heating systems, 43% based their decisions on product quality, 34% on durability, 10% on value for money, 10% on appearance and 10% on lowest cost.

The research is evidence that copper meets the requirements self-builders are looking for. The material is tried and tested and has no rivals when it comes to proven performance. Copper also has high standards and quality, durability and reliability. It gives value for money and is highly adaptable, resistant to heat, corrosion, pressure and fire as well as being recyclable. The self-builders also noted that copper has many aesthetic qualities.
