SkillPLUMB Competition
SkillPLUMB is the UK skills competition organised by SummitSkills to give organisations and individuals an opportunity to participate in a national initiative focusing on plumbing skills and education. UK colleges, employers and training providers are invited to enter their finest competitors.
Participating in this annual plumbing skills competition brings invaluable benefits to both colleges and students. The competitors will test their skills against the best apprentices in the UK. Taking part in the competition will increase the competitor’s ability to work accurately to tight specifications and offer an invaluable experience.
Following the regional heats (results below), ten competitors competed in the 2011 SkillPLUMB UK final at Leeds College of Building on 14-16 September in a challenging practical task spanning three days, in the quest to be crowned SkillPLUMB champion.

SkillPLUMB has the UK Copper Board as its premier sponsor and is organised by SummitSkills, the Sector Skills Council for building services engineering. “Having the competition held in the same hall as its partner events this year will really add to the excitement and atmosphere for the competitors,” said Neil Collishaw of SummitSkills. We’re looking for someone who can deliver a high quality of work precisely to specification and within timescales; we wish all finalists the best of luck.”
