The UK Copper Board awarded special prizes to the three colleges who train the top three students. Moray College, The Manchester College and South West College all walked away with a press tool kit, including the press tool and jaws for 15-35mm pipework.

To add even more excitement to the event a special ‘speed trial’ was held on the final day of the competition. The plumbing competitors teamed up in pairs with those from the electrical competition to construct an ‘ankh’ from copper tube and push-fit fittings. Plumber Scott Gregory, partnered with electrician Minesh Patel, were first to complete the exercise, each receiving £50 HMV vouchers courtesy of the UK Copper Board.
