Salford City College played host to the third and final English heat of the SkillPLUMB competition on 29/30th June.
Nine young plumbers went head to head over two days of competition where their skills and stamina were put to the test. At the end of Day 2, Grimsby College student Tom King, employed by Brian King Plumbing & Heating, came out on top and was announced the winner.
After his win, Tom said: “The competition was a lot harder than I expected but it’s a good gauge of your ability, and I’m so happy that I was judged the best. Everyone put in a lot of hard work – well done to the other lads and thank you to my employer and college for their encouragement.
