HIP! EX - The Event for Plumbing Students
This year’s HIP! Exhibition proved to be another valuable venture for the UK Copper Board, maintaining its profile amongst plumbing students and lecturers and seeing many new Copper Club registrations.
Key contacts were established and renewed with lecturers who provided very positive feedback on the materials distributed by the Board, both in terms of content and quality. Many had utilised the webcasts in class and found them very useful.
The Copper Challenge was once again extremely popular with students competing to beat each other’s times, or even those of their lecturers! The fastest time was turned in by Richard Morgan of Havering College, who assembled the figure-8 in just 17.46 seconds – still almost two seconds shy of last year’s remarkable record!
Also taking place was the HIP! Apprentice competition final, which drew moderate crowds and was using all-copper in a fairly basic system.
